Yakutia authorities planning to allocate over a billion rubles for territorial development

The Government of Yakutia is to consider a bill aimed at promoting territorial development  in the settlements of the republic. The draft law has been designed following the decree of Acting Head of the republic Yegor Borisov on the improvement of urban areas of Yakutia.

The bill defines powers of the state authorities of the republic in this area, declares free access of citizens and organizations to the information about activities of the state authorities and local governments in the field of landscaping, about the state of sites, and the persons entrusted with the duty to maintain the sites.

The bill stipulates mandatory documentation of activities on landscaping in the settlements of the republic. The improvement will be funded through subsidies from the republic's budget to local budgets for co-financing of the costs.

For this purpose, in the years 2015-2017, they are planning to allocate additional 1 billion 350 million rubles (450 million annually) in the republic's budget.
