Yakutia and Chukotka ask to recognize the mammoth bones as natural resources

 Acting head of Yakutia Yegor Borisov and Governor of Chukotka Roman Kopin will jointly stand for enlisting the mammoth tusk in the National Classification of Natural Resources, reports the Press Service of the Head of Yakutia.

The regional leaders have agreed that the mammoth tusk market must become more transparent; in addition, the inclusion of the bones in the list of resources will contribute to the replenishment of the budget.

Yakutia have been advocating the inclusion of mammoth bones in the list of natural resources for several years, while Chukotka has just joined this initiative.
