Ministry for Economic Development ready to promote exports from Yakutia

The Russian Ministry for Economic Development is intending to support enterprises in finding potential partners abroad, said the Ministry officials at the Export Forum in the city of Yakutsk, Sakha Republic (Yakutia), in early August.

“The Ministry is ready to provide full assistance to the republic’s enterprises in entering the international markets at any stage,” – said Maxim Myskin, Deputy Director, Department for Coordination, Development and Regulation of Overseas Economic Activities.

He explained that the main problem in expanding exports has been the fact that the Russian business is not aware of the possibility to collaborate with the Trade Missions of the Russian Federation operating in 55 countries. “Our aim is to inform businesses about the Trade Missions activities, about the tools they use in facilitating the entry to the external markets,” – he added.

Mr Myskin also noted that the Trade Missions my help in not only finding potential partners but also attracting investments into regions.

The Forum is an all-Russian event. It unites representatives of the federal and regional authorities, the republic’s authorities and local governments, enterprises involved in exports and export-oriented production, and potential foreign investors. During the event there has also been a plenary session, strategic workshops on customs and taxation issues.
