Yakut archer Stepanida Artakhinova to represent Russia at European Championship

 Yakut archer Stepanida Artakhinova, a bronze medal winner of the Paralympics, has gone to Switzerland, where, as a member of the Russian national team, she is going to take part in the European Archery Championship among people with muscularskeletal disorder. The competitions are starting in Northville and will last till 3 August.

"Before that we went to a training camp in Aleksin, Tula region, to prepare for the European Championship. We have worked hard, and now in good shape and disposition,” – said the archer before leaving for Switzerland.

Recently, Stepanida Artakhinova had a success at an international tournament in the Czech Republic. The Russian team, composed of Artachinova, Olga Polegaeva and Marina Lyzhnikova, took first place. Another Yakut athlete Valentina Pavlova, the winner the Yakut Sports Games 2014, competed in the other group of three, but they did not win medals.

After the continental championship, Stepanida Artakhinova is coming to Yakutsk to get ready for the Russian Championship in the city of Orel.
