Nature parks of Yakutia and China to exchange tourists

The Directorate of the Lena Pillars Nature Park has been offered to implement a joint project on environmental youth camps under the current Learn Russia Program from the Chinese side and Learn China Program from the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) at the First China-Russia EXPO in the frame of the 25th Economic and Trade Fair in Harbin (China).

They have also received the second offer — to organise exchange trips to the parks on the both sides.

"Our stand at the International exhibition has attracted a great number of participants and guests of the EXPO, we have established first tentative contacts with the leading tour companies in China on the designing and implementation of joint projects for further cooperation and collaboration in the sphere of controlled ecotourism.

First of all, the management of the Park is promoting the goals and objectives of the Convention Concerning the Protection of the World Heritage, at the same time, we are pursuing a policy to promote and advance the Republic's brand "Lena Pillars" at the international level, "- said the Park's Director Vasily Kalitin.

This is the first experience of participation in such international events for the Park staff.
