Yakuthunters harvested some five hundred wolves

"This is primarily due to the decrease in the number of wolves in the region. Nevertheless, throughout the republic wolves killedover one hundred horses and more than two thousand reindeer," - said the Press Service of the Department.

Every year, wolves cause damage to the regional budget in the amount of 250 million rubles. To regulate the numbers of these animals, the regional authorities have allowed hunting the predators from aircraft in spring and using traps.
