Last year the forum took place in “Us Khatyn” area not far from Yakutsk, and it included 6 thematic divisions: “Innovation and invention”, “Youth entrepreneurship”, “Information flow”, “Volunteering”, “Policy” and “Our army”.

During the six-day program participants completed crash courses, business trainings, VIP-lectures, and consultations of experienced trainers on their projects development. The program result was the competition for subsidies and grants for projects realization.

About 1000 young people from Yakutia and the Far East took part in the forum then. Among guests there were heads and managers of “Skolkovo” Innovation Center, Maksim Kisilyov – the director of development of “Skolkovo” Technology Park, Andrey Sartotry – the director of R&D, Sergey Belokonev – the head of Rosmolodezh and many others in the forum.

Following the results of the first forum closing, the participants of “Youth policy” division won grants of the total amount of 2.5 million roubles.

This year the Far East Forum Sakha Seliger-2013 will be changed substantially. It will acquire the status of the All-Russian one at the suggestion of the head of Rosmolodezh Sergey Belokonev.

In this regard, the forum will be attended by 800 representatives of Russian regions. The winners will get possibility to participate in All-Russian Seliger and win grants for their projects realization.

There will be much grant money this year. In 2012, the total amount of grants amounted to about 8 million roubles.

This year the Forum will work in seven divisions: “Youth Entrepreneurship”, “Policy”, “Innovation and invention”, “Volunteering”, “Youth of a Village”, “Art Direction”, and “Run after me”.

According the Minister of Family and Youth Policy Alexander Podgolov, the head of the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs Sergey Belokonev showed his willingness to come to the Sakha Seliger once more.

Speaking of “Youth of a Village” division, the Minister marked: “It’s time to face rural people, and, thus, we have created a new division for rural youth. But it is not a reason to think that the last year’s divisions made a bad showing. For instance, “Our army” division will not be included into the forum; it will just be realized within the frames of other patriotic arrangements”.

Organizers of the forum decided to hold Sakha Seliger in “Buluus” camp of the Khangalassky region of Yakutia located more than 100 km from Yakutsk.

“We try to hold such forums as Seliger far away from towns not to tempt the participants to go there for some things. I will not specify what exactly they get there, but last year we ran into a few unpleasant incidents when participants went off Us Khatyn area to Yakutsk and near villages. But let’s not talk about it now”, - added the Minister, smiling.

In addition, as Alexander Podgolov said, the organizers would like young people from far uluses and Russian regions to see one of the most beautiful and unique places of the Republic.
