Along Ancestors’ paths

“World Travel” company offers tours to the “hub of the Universe”.

If you look at the map of Yakutia, you would immediately be able to find the answer to the question why scientists, photographers, cameramen, thrill-seekers and tourists around the world yearn to get to the edge of the earth.

Because here the so-called “hub of the Universe”, the Pole of Cold, is located, the notion of infinite space where time stops and loses its value. The water in the mountain rivers is so pure that it has a curing effect, and the mountains and the taiga simply breath magic power. It is in such places the ancient hunters, warriors and shamans recharged energy, restored health and strength.
Ecological tours by the “World of Travel” company are journeys; while not causing harm to nature they allow the contemplation of the greatness of forests, lakes, mountains and rivers in their pristine guise. And the secrets are hidden in the invisible forces of nature, where a person embraced by taiga (mountains or tundra) is charged with energy.

Lena Delta
We invite you to participate in a unique expedition to the three pillars of Yakutia – majestic cliffs, which stretch as a solid wall on the right bank of the Lena river. Their length is 40 km, and the continuation of these pillars is seen in Elan pillars (left bank). At a close distance each pillar reminds of a magical statue, a brilliant sculpture, some think they look like medieval castles, to some they remind of a church, and to some oriental columns.
Many wish to have a look at the creation of nature, but not everyone can make this dream come true because of high prices on cruise ships. Our company offers the most affordable and high-quality tours suitable for anyone – from infants to elders.
A group of tourists departs from Yakutsk in comfortable SUVs to Elanki (distance – 150 km), changing to high-speed boats (distance – 50 km). The tours are available to the following destinations:
- To the area of Diring-Yuryakh, with relics of the former archaeological camp where they found the most ancient tools on Earth – stone choppers;
- Sand bodies of “Tukulan” devoid of vegetation with the wind borne landforms: sickle-shaped, clinch-shaped, lanciform dunes. In a 20 minutes ride there is a camp side Buotama with a bison nursery, inhabited by 30 wild bisons that have been delivered to Yakutia from Canada living in an artificial enclosure.
Since the beginning of swimming season such run routes as Yakutsk-Berdigestyah-Matta-Sinyaya-Elanka-Yakutsk are launched. Sinyaya river (Siine) is the left tributary of the Lena river. Its length is 597 km, it originates and flows through the Lena plateau. Takes 48 tributaries. The nature of the Sinyaya basin is unique and picturesque. In spring grayling, goldilock, dace, perch and pike come to spawn to the river. High number of elk population is observed everywhere and during the run one can meet a bear, a deer, a hare, a fox, a squirrel and other inhabitants of the Yakutian taiga. Wonderful rocky banks, swift rifts, golden beaches and Sinskie pillars attract tourists. At every turn vertical walls of 70-100 meters high stretch for 1-4 km, forming figures of most intricate shapes. Here you can see the columns, towers, arches, bridges, grottos, through-holes, whole palaces and fortifications. Banks opposite to the cliffs are low, earthen, with convenient terraces for staging. Pillars are found until the very end, but the most spectacular ones are at the area of 14-113 km from the Lena River.
Only Mountains are Better than Mountains
Yakutia is not only the boundless taiga and tundra, but also mountains. Solely, one chain of mountains of the Chersky ridge is the highest point in Siberia, the Far East and the whole north-eastern part of Eurasia. For example, Mount Pobeda Peak is 3147 meters high; in average, the height of the mountains range from 2 to 3 km. Mountain streams originate from lakes located in the so-called Alpine meadows, which unite many glaciers and ice accumulations. These lakes are inhabited by an unexplored subspecies of salmon – Arctic salmon. Mountain lakes, in addition to trout, are inhabited by grayling (lake), goldilock, eelpout and several species of minnows.
Only between July and August you can get into this northern oasis and paradise for naturalists. Along the way there are brown bears, Kolyma moose, bighorn sheep (mountain sheep), rare species of eagles, red-capped marmots and many other animals, birds and plants listed as endangered.
The park is situated in Momsky ulus, and the natural park is a densely populated place of the northern Yakuts and one of the minority ethnic groups of the Arctic – Evens. What is the Far North and how unique and sometimes bizarre its harsh nature is can be understood only here. Icing “Ulakhan Taryn” is located in the park, its size and width of ice is only inferior to Fedchenko peak in the Pamir. It is 5-7 km wide, about 40 km long, the ice thickness reaches 7 meters.
In the park you can see the Balagan-Taas volcano, high mountain bodies, and have a drink of water from mineral springs, which are not inferior to the famous waters of the Caucasus, and even surpassing them in some indicators.
The Moma river is 600 km long, its velocity is high, especially in the drifts, which attract run activists.

This is only a small part of what can be seen in Yakutia. All routes are laid in places almost untouched by man and the animals are not afraid of people, so many of them can be seen as close as possible.
On preliminary application it is possible to organize cultural and ethnographic tours to different parts of the Republic.
Yakutia is a territory of many major rivers, which harbours all sorts of white fish (Siberian white salmon, muksun, broad whitefish, Arctic cisco, etc.) and, of course, the place of habitat of the largest representative of the Salmonidae family – trout.
In search of a river tiger, we can send you to the West – to the diamond capital (the city of Mirny) or to Olenek, to the South – the city of Olekminsk, to the East - to Tomponsky ulus, and finally, to the North – to Zhigansk, Verkhoyansk or to the Yana River basin.
We are waiting for you!
