The northernmost datsan in the world to be opened in Yakutsk

October 1 and 2 Buddhists of the Republic will celebrate the long-awaited opening of the temple.

The only one in the republic and the world's northernmost datsan is located on the Sergelyakhskoye road, 12 km. The temple is built on a donation basis; back in 2009 the first pile was fixed in the ground.

“This is not an ordinary monastery, 2,800 years ago, Sakyamuni Buddha had predicted that his teaching, being originated in India, would gradually reach the north of the continent and indeed the construction was easy, as if by magic, as if the Buddha himself helped to build it”, - proudly told the Buddhists.

Tomorrow, September 30 distinguished guests are expected to arrive in Yakutsk. The celebrations will be attended by Head of Russia's Buddhists Hambo Lama Damba Ayusheev, the abbots of major monasteries, datsans of Buryatia, Chita, St. Petersburg, representatives of the National Khural.

The morning of October 1 will begin with the spiritual component of the program - the consecration of the building and main statue of Buddha and prayer service.

October 2 - prayer and secular part: the celebrations of the opening, meeting of the head of Russia's Buddhists with the Head of the Republic. In parallel, there will be a presentation of the book on the phenomenon of Pandito Khambo Lama.

Datsan is open for everyone October 1 and 2 from 10 am, anyone can pray, worship and talk with lamas.
