Ancient grave found within Yakutsk

Archaeologists from the Institute of Humanitarian Research and Indigenous Peoples of the North, led by Doctor of History Rozalia Bravina, found an ancient grave within the city of Yakutsk near the Botanical Garden of the Ammosov North-Eastern Federal University, YSIA reports.

The grave is dated, presumably, XII-XIII centuries. There are remains of a woman, who was buried in the hollowed-out log of wood.

Ph.D. in History Viktor DIAKONOV believes that the woman was Mongol. They also found an iron stirrup, scissors, a knife, and copper plaques.
