Yakut Ombudsman met with Khangalassky ulus residents

On September 25, the Human Rights Commissioner of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), Aleksey Efimov held a meeting with the Khangalassky ulus public and a personal reception of residents.

Aleksey Efimov and workers of the Ombudsman office met with law enforcement officials and got acquainted with the work of the Department of Internal Affairs of Khangalassky region in the first half of the day.

Aleksey Efimov noted that the state should be responsible for actions of municipalities, as the European Court of Human Rights announced by virtue of the Yakut rights defenders appeals. When the Commissioner was asked about cases when people could address the Ombudsman, Aleksey Efimov explained that the Ombudsman should react when all instances and courts have been underwent.
