Migrant workers to learn history and culture of the republic peoples in Yakutsk

 From September 10, the Department of the Peoples of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) is holding the second cycle of educational classes “Legal and social and cultural education of migrant workers from the CIS countries” with the participation of lecturers of the Law Faculty of the North-Eastern Federal University named after M.K. Ammosova.

During the classes, audience will become familiar with the history of Yakutia until the arrival of the Russian explorers and the pre-revolutionary and Soviet periods; they will learn cultural traditions, customs and beliefs of the indigenous peoples of the republic, the culture of Russian old-timers, and features of the normative culture of the peoples living here.

There will also be considered and discussed social and cultural problems of ethnic interaction in a multicultural society in the case of the Republic of Sakha - a dialogue of cultures as a basis for tolerant behavior of migrant workers in Yakutia.


Eight classes are planned to be held from 10 to 19 of September.
