Yakut won Far Eastern Billiards Tournament

 Yakutian billiards player Aleksey Grigoriev has won at the Open Far Eastern Tournament held last week in Blagoveshchensk. The event was timed to the opening of Russia's first specialized billiard center for people with disabilities. The competitions were held in three groups – among women, the disabled with common illnesses and wheelchair invalids. 

There were 16 contestants from the Amur region, Primorsky Krai, Khabarovsk Krai and Yakutia in the group of wheelchair users. The republic was represented by five athletes in wheelchairs. Aleksey Grigoriev won the first place; Mikhail Malardyrov received a silver medal. Yakutian team took the second place in the team competition, having lost to the hosts of the event - Amur athletes. 
Aleksey Grigoriev is a winner of the Russian Championship in Billiard Sports of wheelchair users and a member of the European and the World Championships.
