Canadians condolence to the Yakuts

The leadership of the republic and all Yakuts are continuing to receive telegrams of condolences in connection with the terrible tragedy happened in Yakutia.

A telegram of the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Canada to the Russian Federation, Mr. John Sloan, says the following:

On behalf of the Government of Canada and the people of our country let me express my most sincere sympathy to the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), which has suffered casualties in the helicopter crash.

It was especially hard to know that several of the victims were children.

Our thoughts and our prayers in this difficult time are for families and friends of those whose lives have been swept off in this terrible accident and our heartfelt wishes of a speedy recovery are for those who have survived.
