Arthur Chilingarov thanked Egor Borisov for his support of polar expedition projects

On May 24 the President of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) Egor Borisov received a letter from the Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation on International Cooperation in the Arctic and Antarctic, the president of the Association of Polar Explorers, the First Vice-President of the Russian Geographical Society, the Hero of the Soviet Union, the Hero of Russia, Artur Chilingarov.

In his address Arthur reported that in May of this year they successfully completed a polar expedition by dog ​​sleds through a difficult route from the mainland to the New Siberian Islands, which was confined to the 110th anniversary of the rescue expedition led by Kolchak in the wake of the missing expedition of Baron E.V. Toll in 1902.

Artur Chilingarov also congratulated Egor Borisov on the Day of a Polar Explorer, established by the Presidential Decree No 502 of May 21, 2013, and wished successful implementation of new plans, health and welfare to the head of Yakutia and all the organizers and participants of the expedition.
