Yakutia planning to sign a package of contracts with Chinese investors at Russian-Chinese Expo

 The Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) is planning to sign a package of contracts with Chinese investors, including the agreement on construction of reinforcement bars and brick plants, worth more than 1 billion rubles at the first Russian-Chinese EXPO going on these days in the capital of Heilongjiang Province. This was stated by Anatoly Semenov, Director of YakutiaTechnopark, Deputy of Yakutsk City Council.

He said that the opportunities for attracting Chinese investments into the republic are represented by the North World project of the Ministry for Entrepreneurship and Development of Tourism of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) and the Kangalassy Industrial Park of the Yakutsk City Hall.

Semenov added that the participation in the EXPO has practical significance for the region. "We are planning to sign more than seven contracts, including exports," - he said. "China has a great demand in the jewelry with diamonds and gems, as well as products made ​​of mammoth tusk."

According to Semenov, at EXPO they will also sign an agreement on investments into the city of  Yakutsk. "Yakutia plans to attract Chinese investments for renovation of delapidated housing and construction of social low-budget accommodation. This social project is of great interest for the Chinese party."

At its booth at the EXPO, Yakutia also introduced an extensive cultural program.
