Yakutia to receive 80 million rubles on reindeer breeding

Starting from 2015, the Russian Federation will be allotting 70-80 million rubles from the state budget on the development of reindeer breeding in Yakutia, reported the Press Service of the Sakha Republic.

The mechanisms of the state support will be changed in the direction of increasing the stock of reindeer and production of meat. This will positively impact earnings of herders.

Deputy Prime Minister of Yakutia Peter Alekseev said that at the moment they are developing the technique for granting the state support based on the rates for sold meat, which is a great incentive to increase production.
